THIS BLOG IS written based purely on one's life experiences to present cultural differences between two cultures; Thai and British.
The writer hopes this blog to be beneficial to all, especially if you are:-
1) Thais who have to move into a different culture/country, temporarily or permanently and/or
2) from any part of the world, you can also learn about an example of another culture and not only you will find it interesting but it will also be useful whenever you have to come into contact with people from different nations – when you travel to different countries, at university or even at work,
3) and last but not least, my final reason, and it’s my main reason for creating this blog is, with the rapid growth of technology, I believe the world is going to be very mixed and hopefully by understanding each other’s culture we will become one with a variety of beautiful colors the same as we have many beautiful flowers living on earth.
The previous sentence makes it sounds like one were singing "Where is the love?" from the Black Eyed Peas. Especially on the chorus bit where they sing “We’ve only got one world, one world”.
I believe all of us would all like to see our children to grow up not experiencing hatred and bullying but only love and peace.
Apologies:-
1) This blog written based primarily on one's opinion and it is not to be assumed that all Thais will think the same, but where there are opinions expressed the writer checked with her peers and they tend to feel likewise. Then again, they’re my peers and it’s likely that the opinions expressed can only be representative of a certain social group of the Thai.
2) The writer was born in 1981 and so it is no guarantee that people born after generation Y will feel or have such similar opinions. With the world moving vigorously from the power of the Internet, the new generations are being exposed to unlimited sources of information and hence their views may vary.
